The Journey to 1000 Paper Cranes
I’ve begun the journey of folding 1000 paper cranes—not as a race to finish, but as a practice in slowing down, being present, and welcoming change. Each crane invites me into patience, detail, and peace, reminding me to rest when I am tired and trust the rhythm of right timing. The first 100 now hang on birch, a tree of new beginnings. As I fold, I carry the question: what is the path of least resistance? A meditation in paper, presence, and transformation.
